kim...@ It truly is a gentle formulation because I have dry skin, and it did not even leave my face feeling overly dry or irritated. I ordered it for one of my granddaughters, but for purposes of this review, I did use it a couple times. It is a very thick cleanser and it foams up beautifully due to the gentle coconut based surfactants in it. The exfoliation is happening two ways- there is sweet almond seed meal for light physical exfoliation, and it also contains salicylic acid in the form of willow bark extract. Normally I would worry about this combination exacerbating my rosacea, but this formulation has enough hydrating and soothing ingredients to offset the exfoliants. Both times after using it, my skin was so soft I had to keep touching it, plus I love the very light and clean smelling floral scent of it.
