Cruelty-free means that product and the ingredients it was made of were not tested on animals at any time during the production. Some products can be ‘cruelty-free’, but not vegan, if contains ingredients like honey, but were not tested on animals.

Vegan means that a product does not contain any animal components or animal by-products, such as beeswax, honey, or snail mucin. ‘Vegan’ products can still be NOT ‘cruelty-free’ if were tested on animals at some point.
