Hello everyone!

I'm back with a new review, this time with a new brand in the Korean skincare scene, TOCOBO.

TOCOBO produces products based on intuition and values the essence, while still offering these skincare goodies at a fair price. TOCOBO is the next derma cosmetic. Amazing isn't it?

So... I was able to try 3 of their products: toner, essence, and moisturizing cream. I can't believe that I can fall in love with a brand even with trying just a few products from their line. I hope that you'll love them as much as I did!

Here's my honest review of each:

AHA BHA Lemon Toner

Description:

1) Healthy skin from weakly acidic, hypoallergenic keratin care

2) Lemon extract makes skin clear and bright, TONE UP!

3) Soothing and moisturizing with rich moisture

TOCOBO's AHA BHA Lemon Toner clears pores with its stable AHA/BHA & 38% high Vitamin C content. It has a watery texture w/ a goopy feeling, reminds me so much of snail mucin toners. It offers great absorption because of how lightweight it is! The scent is lemony/acidic, which was the only thing I did not adore. Despite that, we can't deny the fact that this is a power-packed toner.

I'm wary of using actives together like AHA/BHA w/ Vitamin C in one routine, as it might trigger irritation, especially for people with sensitive skin. I practice applying them on alternate days to be safe. This combination also heightens sensitivity, so extreme caution should be practiced when using this and going out - sunscreen always!

The good news? This toner removes all of the irritation worries! It gives the intertwined goodness of exfoliation via AHA/BHA and brightening via Vitamin C in one GENTLE product. No need to use separate products for exfoliation and brightening because it's on one bottle already! I am so sold on this toner!

Bifida Biome Essence

Description:

Bacteria on our skincare?! What?!

Okay, that might sound icky or weird... But hear me out first!

All of us human beings have our own unique microbiome of *mostly good and harmless* viruses, fungi, and bacteria in our bodies - and that includes our skin. This is also known as the "skin flora." These good bacteria on our skin regulate inflammation. Sometimes, due to our stressful lifestyle or poor diet, imbalances happen which can result to skin infections or common conditions like acne.

If you're someone who's trying to repair your skin barrier and your microbiome imbalances, aside from doing the internal work like eating healthy and improving our lifestyle, we can supplement our routine with a skincare product that has a high concentration of lactic acid bacteria to feed the skin with good nutrients.

Say hello to TOCOBO's Bifida Biome Essence! This essence has a runny gel consistency, similar to snail mucin serums. It gave me a luxurious sensorial experience during application because of its calming floral scent - think of lilies and jasmine flowers in a beautiful bouquet. How lovely is that?

One to two pumps are enough to cover the face and neck - so this bottle will last me a long time for sure. What I also love about it is that it applies smoothly and leaves a cool feeling, while of course, supplying good nutrients on the skin!

Multi Ceramide Cream

Description:

1) Powerful moisturizing up to 10 layers between dead skin cells

2) Safe to use even for sensitive skin! Hypoallergenic & PEG FREE!

3) Complete porcelain skin, high-density moisture cream

Let's save the best for last. Spoiler Alert: This is my favorite product of TOCOBO!

Living in a hot and humid country, my nights consist mostly of sleeping in a super cold airconditioned room. And with that, I wake up with really dry skin. Some night creams that I use can't keep up with that, and I end up with a face that feels like a raisin in the morning - so crusty and dehydrated. Haha!

TOCOBO's Multi Ceramide Cream is a gamechanger.

It has a texture like buttercream frosting of a cake. It has firmness and thickness to it, but it's easy to melt and apply all over the face and neck. The scent is almost similar with the essence, but lighter. I would have preferred this one to be unscented though, as the first two products applied before this have strong and recognizable scents.

With the combination of different types of Hyaluronic Acid + Ceramide, this is a powerful moisturizing cream that is able to hold moisture on the face for such a long time. It doesn't feel clogging or oily, making this one of my favorite products on this line.

Get ready to wake up with a plump skin with this cream.

Overall Thoughts:

My mind has been pre-occupied lately that I actually tried all of TOCOBO's products at once. NOT RECOMMENDED! (One at a time + patch test always!)

I was just grateful that no harsh reactions or irritation happened. For me, this is a great proof of how gentle TOCOBO's products are.

I am also happy to report that my skin texture feels smooth after 2 weeks of use! My make-up does not get cakey. Wuhoo!

This makes me, STILL, a firm believer of powerful chemical exfoliants, layered with nourishing serum, and sealed in with a deeply moisturizing cream containing Ceramides + Hyaluronic Acid.

TOCOBO has done a great job on these products! I believe that even skincare newbies can try these products without worrying too much because of how gentle, yet effective they are. I cannot wait to try TOCOBO's future product releases because of this.
