Self Introduction:

Greetings of Positivity! I’m Aly, a skincare and makeup enthusiast from the Philippines. I love trying out new products and sharing my skin-ventures to other people because I firmly believe that healthy skin should be for all.

My thoughts:

Vitamin C has long been a prominent ingredient not only in the world of medicine but also in the world of skincare because of its complex benefits. Want to brighten up your skin or hyperpigmentation? Use Vitamin C. Want something to help you address acne, oiliness, and even inflammations? Vitamin C is a great option. Want to have youthful skin? Vitamin C promotes collagen production which helps in thickening the dermis and reducing fine lines. Want an antioxidant that can protect your skin from free radicals and pollution? Vitamin C is definitely the one you’re looking for. As a matter of fact, if Vitamin C is a person, he must have been exhausted from shouldering all the work.

However, despite being completely aware of its wonders, I haven’t really incorporated Vitamin C in my skincare routine before. The reason behind this is I fear that it may trigger my ultra-sensitive skin. But, as a student, in a country that’s humid all year long and is currently forced to adjust in a new normal set-up, the amount of stress I got to experience is ineffable. And apart from my immune system, it is my skin that immensely suffered. Gladly, Jumiso made its way to me. (if this sounded too dramatic, please note that I didn't mean it THAT way)

On the other note, it has been more than a month since I started using these two products from Jumiso’s Vitamin Line and I must say, they have been true to their tagline “Make You Smile”

JUMISO ALL DAY VITAMIN NOURISHING & RECHARGING WASH-OFF MASK

The Jumiso All Day Vitamin Wash-Off Mask contains 15-Vitamin Complex and lemon peel that claims to help recharge dull skin, even out complexion, and provide vitamin barrier for a healthier skin. It comes in a 100ml jar container, a gel-type texture, and has a fruity scent. As per the instructions, it should be applied after cleansing; avoiding the eye and mouth area for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm water.

When I first used this product, the very first thing I noticed was its scent. I really enjoyed that it smells nice and fruity; it made me crave for some oranges; made me excited to do skincare even if I’m already tired from online class. Second, I really admire its texture—it’s not sticky and rinsing it off is not that hard compared to the other wash-off masks I’ve used before. Third, I have to emphasize that my dehydrated/sensitive skin enjoyed the intense nourishment and 0 irritation it got from using this product. And last but definitely not the least, results are surely instant. The day after I first tried this one, I noticed that my skin is plumper and more radiant. However, it doesn’t really last long unless you are consistent—using it for 2-3 times a week. As for me, since I am just starting with Vitamin C, I tried to really be slow with it so I just use it once a week and even forget it sometimes. Nevertheless, this wash-off mask is great if you want to revitalize your skin. Plus, this is also sensitive-skin friendly; but as always, patch-test first.

JUMISO ALL DAY VITAMIN BRIGHTENING & BALANCING SERUM

If you think Vitamin C is already the endgame, well, think again because Jumiso’s All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Serum has more to offer. This non-water-based serum is the renewed and upgraded version of Jumiso’s now-discontinued Drop the Vita C Facial Serum. It boasts 86.14% Vitamin Tree Extract and 20,000 ppm or 2% Niacinamide to help balance and brighten up the skin. Apart from these, it also contains other amazing ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid—Sodium Hyaluronate, Centella Asiatica, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract, and Panthenol.

As someone with sensitivity issues and is new to Vitamin C, I appreciated that this serum is not a concentrated C-serum. I think this will make a great Vitamin-C starter; more appropriate for teenagers and much more budget-friendly since it can be used both in morning and night.  Moreover, I love that this is super lightweight and not sticky because if it isn’t, using it here in a humid country would have been such a hassle. Meanwhile, I also noticed that my red spots start to lighten and few have even faded after I used this together with the wash-off mask. But above all, my most favorite experience with this facial serum is the fact that it made my skin look radiant even if I don’t have enough sleep.

Overall, I really enjoyed trying out these products. And if you will ask me, I would definitely repurchase!
