Last week, I received a package from @stylekorean_global filled with @bentoncosmetic @bentoncosmetic_kr best sellers/infulencers favorites for
their #trymereviewme event.
About the brand:
Benton is inspired by & named after the
movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” in which he grows younger with
time. So just like the movie, Benton wishes to restore your skin back to its original,
youthful condition with healthy recipes, rather than to give temporary effects
with harmful ingredients. Their principle is to make high quality products with
reasonable prices & exclude harmful & controversial ingredients
fundamentally, so that everyone can trust & use their products.
Benton was first established in 2011 & their
first launch/product release was the Snail Bee High Content Essence & Mask
Pack. Currently, they have branched out internationally & still continue to
grow all over the world!

1* Benton Honest Cleansing Foam
Product Description
Benton Honest Line presents honest ingredients
that you can be reassured of. Formulated with palm oil-derived natural
surfactants, Benton Honest Cleansing Foam mildly cleanses fatigued skin caused
by various stress & pollution. This face cleanser not only cleanses but
further moisturizes, minimizing skin tightness.
My
thoughts
Don’t you feel happy when a product proves you
wrong & actually delivers what it claims? I had some reservations before
using this product because of its high pH level. But after using it for the
past weeks, I can definitely say that this proved me wrong & I’m happy that
it did! Honestly, I was expecting that it would be too drying. But, it did the
actual opposite! This left my skin feeling soft to touch & it did not leave
it feeling tight especially on the sides of my nose & around my mouth
(which is where I normally experience that feeling). I use this at night as my
2nd cleanser since I prefer using low pH cleansers in the morning.
The only cons of this product would be the mild
rose fragrance, PAO of 6 months & the pH level. Fragrance/Parfum is listed
on the last of the ingredients list & they only added it due to the
original odor of surfactants. The fragrance in this is only mild & it
doesn’t linger on your skin. As for the PAO, it did not come as a surprise to
me since the brand uses natural ingredients & since this product has no
preservatives. I honestly prefer it this way since this ensures the products
effectivity. I listed the pH level under cons because I don’t recommend this
for all skin types. I only recommend this for those that have oily skin. Since
this has a high pH level, it will/may be too drying for dry/combination skin.
2* Benton Aloe BHA SKin Toner
Product Description
Packed with skin benefitting ingredients such
as aloe & salicylic acid, this toner hydrates & preps your skin to help
with the absorption of skincare products in the next step in your routine.
My
thoughts
Among all the products that I have been testing,
this would have to be my most favorite of them all! I love how all the key
ingredients help target a number of my skin concerns with just 1 product. With
continuous use, this helped clear my skin & moisturised it at the same
time. I am happy that I was able to experience what everyone else was raving
about! No wonder why this won many awards & was chosen as part of the
influencers favorites.
Since this toner only consists of 0.5%
BHA/Salicylic Acid, I opt to use this when I am not exfoliating since I prefer
using a stronger formulation on those days. Which is why you have to manage
your expectations on this. Don’t get me wrong, this still acts as an exfoliator
however it provides mild exfoliation & it is more gentle. I would recommend
this for all skin types most especially to those that have sensitive skin &
that are new to using products for exfoliation. Once your skin is able to
tolerate this, then you can test out something stronger.
3* Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence
Product Description
Containing 90% snail extract, this is a dream
come true treatment when it comes to dealing with everything from acne scars to
uneven texture. Working in synergy with bee venom, it also rebalances skin,
soothes redness & irritation & delivers an intensive shot of moisture
for a glowing, calm finish. This supercharged essence also harnesses the power
of niacinamide & adenosine to ward off the aging effects of free radicals,
reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles & boost elasticity of
the skin. Free of parabens, pigment, artificial fragrance, mineral oil,
volatile alcohol & silicone, this is a daily fix of radiance that your skin
deserves.
My
thoughts
This isn’t the first time I’ve used an essence
with snail secretion filtrate. The first essence that I tried is the Cosrx
Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence which is actually my HG essence. I was
excited to try something similar because of how much my skin benefited from
using a product with snail secretion filtrate. Aside from this, I was giddier
than usual because the Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence consists of one of
my favorite ingredients which is Niacinamide & an ingredient which I’ve
never tried before, bee venom.
I love that this product provides me with a
boost in hydration & calms/soothes my inflamed acne/distressed skin. I use
this in my AM and PM routine & so far this has not caused me any
irritations or breakouts. In terms of brightening & treating uneven
texture, I haven’t noticed any huge improvements just yet. I do think that this
is a type of product that you’ll have to use consistently in order to fully
attain its benefits. Which is why I will be continuing to use this & I will
be updating you if there are any noticeable changes/improvements. I recommend
this product for all skin types even for those that have sensitive skin.
4* Benton Fermentation Eye Cream
Product Description
This eye cream brings fermented ingredients
& anti-aging superstars together to keep your eye area hydrated & soft.
Bifida ferment lysate & galactomyces ferment filtrate, fermented
ingredients well known in Korean skin care, help repair skin damage, while
ceramides, hyaluronic acid, aloe & panthenol deeply hydrate skin. Also
included in the formula are beta-glucans & adenosine to plump & smooth
the eye area for brighter, more younger looking eyes.
My
thoughts
There are some people that don’t find eye creams
necessary. I for one am the opposite. I wouldn’t mind adding another step in my
skincare routine for as long as it targets my areas of concern & more
importantly if it contributes to anti-aging!
After application, this product moisturizes my
under eye area without it feeling tacky or sticky. Hence, this works just as
well under make up. I’m also happy to inform you guys that I did not feel any
stinging sensation. I’ve tried other eye creams before that stung my eyes &
let me tell you, it did not end well at all. I ended up in tears which prompted
me to wipe it all off.
As for usage, I apply this in my AM & PM
routine & so far aside from it being moisturising, I noticed my under eye
area looking plump. This also helps with my smile/laugh lines since I noticed
that my make up does not crease or settle as much as before. As for the
brightening claim, I haven’t observed any noticeable change because I honestly
don’t really suffer from dark under eyes. Although I have read other reviews
wherein it helped lighten their under eye areas. So if you guys have concerns
such as dry, dull & dark under eyes then you should give this product a
try!
5* Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel

this product contains aloe & propolis that help soothe irritated skin, fade acne scars, brighten skin tone & even maintain hydration throughout the day. This gel moisturizer is also fragrance free!
6* Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream
Product Description
(Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream)
this cream is formulated with snail mucin to
deeply hydrate skin. Bee venom also helps promote collagen production. Steam
creams are blended using high temperatures & steam technology, which
increases the efficacy of the formula.
My
thoughts on 5&6*
I love that Benton offers two different
varieties with their moisturizers. Since I have an oily/combi skin type, I
prefer using heavier creams at night & gel type moisturizers in the
morning. I do still think that despite having oily/combi skin, applying
moisturizer is still important because our skin produces more oil whenever we
don’t moisturize well enough.
These two products follow through with their
claims. However, with the Snail Bee High Content Steam I haven’t noticed its
brightening effects. I’ll be continuing to use this and update you guys if I
notice any changes. Lastly I’d like to commend the Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel,
because I recently experienced bites on both my legs & they were extremely
itchy. I remembered immediately that this product has aloe vera in it & as
soon as I applied it on my bites it instantly soothed my skin. So I highly
suggest having a product like this in your stash for emergencies!
7* Benton Sheet Masks
(Goodbye
Redness Centella, Snail Bee High Content, Aloe Soothing & Fermentation Mask
Pack)
Benton sent a variety of sheet masks for me to
test out & it was such a fun experience because they offer a variety of
masks depending on which skin concern you want to target. All these sheet masks
fit well on my face except for my nose area. I wish it fully covered that area
better. But aside from this, they all have a generous amount of essence. So
yaaay for my neck, arms & legs area! Since I make sure to use & apply
this wherever I can & we obviously wouldn’t want to waste a good essence! This
also sinks in after awhile & it doesn’t leave your face feeling too heavy.
My most favorite among the rest would have to be the Aloe Soothing Mask Pack.
My skin felt extremely hydrated, plump and soothed the next morning! So if you
are a fan of sheet masks I suggest you give these a try ❤
