this fixer does a great job of holding a curl and keeping my eyelashes in place. sadly, I had hoped that this product would prevent my mascara from smudging under my eyes and it did not. it also got a bit white and flaky when put on top of mascara, but this fixer is supposed to go before mascara so that could be on me.

I’ve used one other product like this before so far, and I must say I much prefer that one. The issue with the etude house fixer is the wand: it’s really large and pick up a ton of product, far too much to put on my lashes (and brows as a brow fixer, since I use for both) so I have to scrape the wand on the sides of the tube to make it even manageable. It still goes on a little too heavily usually. As for the actual product, it’s fine. It will cake easily if you overdo it and leave a whitish residue, but if you’re careful it does have a fixing effect. I haven’t really tried it with keeping a curl on my lashes, but for my brows it does hold them - almost too much as they get a little crunchy for my taste.

makes lashes very hard so your mascara will look clumpy on top -- just prefer to use waterproof mascara on it own to hold vurl. if you want to use this, probably use on its own for minimal no make up look because it is too clumpy
