The consistency is interesting, a bit thick. It's thicker than regular serums. It could probably replace a cream for some people. I have combination skin and am 40 years old. I use it as part of a multi-layered skincare regimen because I need a lot of nourishment and hydration. I don't use it alone. Overall, it's not sticky, with a dewy finish, more nourishing. It didn't cause any negative effects on my skin. It didn't clog pores. It doesn't cake. It pairs well with other products. I recommend it.
