I've been scared of using Retinol/Retinal products but this one is quite gentle. I purged a little, but it was not make feel my skin tender to touch... and may I say the improvement in my skin texture says a lot! Even my partner commented that I seemed to look younger! I initially got it on TIME DEAL but loved it so much that I had to get another bottle. Oh... and I love that this comes in a pump so it's very hygienic and I know that my product is truly protected from heat and light.
