If you're not a fan of licorice smell, this may not be for you but the smell is not that strong to me. This toner leaves my skin feeling balanced and it helps wipe away any residue if you use it with a small cotton pad. Been using this for years while trying others but I always come back to this toner. Combination skin and I don't find it drying or that it leaves any residue.
