The consistency of the serum doesn't work for me. It doesn't absorb well into my skin, and the finish is oily. It seems to trigger oil production, but I use it overnight so I don't really mind that. The dropper style for this doesn't work, and the Vitamin C does degrade quicker than I can get through it. I can't say if it helped with hyperpigmentation, acne scars, or skin tone - I used it for less than a month because it didn't sit well on my skin or with other products in my routine. Will not repurchase.
