My skin LOVES Houttuynia Cordata, so I was very excited to give this a try! On video reviews I've seen others post it looked like this gives the skin a natural finish, and that's usually my preference. I do NOT like looking glowy unless it looks healthy. When I opened my product I noticed that you have to shake it before each use and made sure to do so. The product itself dispenses very runny so it took trial and error to figure out how much is enough. I usually use the two finger method but this wasn't going to work. Initially I realized I was applying too much, because my skin looked visibly shiny all day long, even though I have dry skin. It felt uncomfortable and thick. When I adjusted to using less my skin did actually start looking natural & very good... but unfortunately it still felt thick on my skin. This is something that can bother me all throughout the day and make me touch my face when I don't want to. This is a good sunscreen and I will finish it, but will not repurchase.

This formula and texture is very different from other sunscreens I'm used to wearing. I was hesitant at first, since it reminded me of other watery sunscreens I've used before, and they were not pleasant. But, this blew me away, blends seamlessly, no white cast, gives a natural finish on me, and feels weightless, like a lot of Korean sunscreens. My skin has been a bit finnicky lately, but the houttuynia cordata in here, which is supposed to help with calming, made it so my skin didn't turn red or have a reaction.

The sun essence is slightly on the richer side making it more suitable for combination to dry skin. At first I thought it was a bit rich for me but it dried down nicely and doesn't look too oily on me

Runny lightweight with subtle scent , it feels like lotion makes my skin glazed and dewy finished, it looks like old packaging with droplet before with soft subtle heartleaf scent. Shake first before used like japanese sunscreen before . For me personally, it feels so much better easy used with this packaging either than old version
