It has an ointment consistency that sometimes weighs my hair down. It's very thick, but I don't think it's a bad product. But I do think spray-on heat protectants are easier to apply!

I'm not sure if it works, as I've only been using it for a few weeks. The texture is quite thick, so it can be a bit sticky. However, since I have dry hair, I like it, except when I apply it near the roots, it can feel oily.
