It does brighten the skin. It does cause any stinging effect on the skin like other vitamin C product. However it is not recimmendes for sensitive skin as it can damage the skin barrier causing ur skin to purge.

this along with the tone up cream from the same brand literally helped brighten the two, VERY visible, hyper pigmented circles on my chin in a week if not days. I recommend 1000%, I wish I took before and after pics because the difference it made is INSANE.
