Cannot say about claim to help to promote hair growth but it does reduces hair fall to the noticeable degree. Does not dry out the scalp or makes it greesy.

I wash my hair every other day because as I get older my hair is really thinning out. This is a lifesaver in refreshing my hair and controlling oil buildup. I use it after I shower and it lasts until my next hair wash.

I don’t think it reduces hair loss but I do see new baby hairs after using this product. The smell of this product is very nice and feels nice on scalp
