I used to use the cerave blemish wash and it irritated my skin and made me sensitive but this is soothing and feels so good and never irritates me at all even when my skin is irritated it doesn’t cause more damage

So it does help control the oil in skin and balance's. It's not a harsh cleanser. For beginner skincare this is an okay cleanser.
