I havent used this but i bought it together with the cushion and still use the provided puff and i really love the texture. Doesnt feel cheap at all!

Great puff, a bit puffier than the moonshot puff and soakes up a little more product but this lasts a few washes unlike most other cushion puffs.
The wide band makes it comfortable to hold.
