I'm not a huge fan of cotton pads when it comes to applying my cosmetics whit them. I think they soak up too much product and give off too little. All around a waste of product, in my eyes. 

If you soak them with tea for example (or other DIY face masks) they perform well, and the texture of these pads have a peeling effect, which I think is rather convenient.
