There is a fresh scent, it is strong, but I don't mind it. A little goes a long way. You only need a pea size to moisturize. Too thick for day time or under make up. I only use for night. It improved dry patches I had around my nose. I don't have them anymore. Truly recommend for dry skin. It is good to use to around eyes as a eye cream as well.

The cream is extremely firm. Rub on your hands and stamp on skin for easy application.
