I bought this just to try it out and see how it compares to other hair mask packs. The smell was a little overbearing at first just opening the packet, but you don't notice after the pack is on your head. It did a good job overall, but most of the treatment stayed at the center of the back of my head even after I massaged it around for about 5 minutes. After I took off the cap, I just massaged it in by hand all over for even coverage and just rinsed it out with cool water. My hair is a lot softer and has a nice light floral-y scent to it. In comparison to others, this one is probably my favorite despite the coverage issue.
