I have eyelashes that point straight downward and most mascaras I've tried smudges even though they claim to be smudgeproof and waterproof. I was very happy with this mascara as it held up my curled eyelashes, didn't smudge, didn't irritate my sensitive eye area and was able to reach my sparse lower lashes with its very slim wand.
