It is very effective, but I would not recommend this for people that have never used chemical exfoliants. I do not suffer from acne, but I do get the occasional spot or breakout. I use this as a spot treatment and it is very good at calming the skin, reducing the redness and slight swelling, as well as the healing and fading of hyperpigmentation.

I've been using this product for several months now and it's been a staple in my skin routine. I can definitely tell when I have forgotten to exfoliate.
