COVERAGE: This cushion is full coverage, and I mean FULL. I dipped the applicator in once and was able to spread what was on it through out my whole face without having to go back for second. I generally just use the patting motion recommended since it creates better coverage with a smoother look. In area such as the outer edges of my face where I don't necessarily need high coverage, I'd drag the applicator lightly to thin out the layer of product for a more natural look. I typically don't even need to use concealer for my acne spots and scars after using this cushion.
SHADE: This comes in only 3 shades, which is one more than 80% of the Korean cushions out there in the market. If you use Western make up, I'm tend to be described as light with neutral undertone and shade #23 is a fairly good match. I originally wanted the shade #27 but after looking at photos and how much darker it is compare to #23, I decided not to. (Fenty foundation #190, YSL All Hour foundation BD 20-25, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua & Perfection Lumiere Velvet 30 Beige, E.L.F Photofocus foundation Soft Beige) If you use any of these shades, you'll get away with #23.
FINISH: This cushion is as with any other cushion in the market, it is DEWY. If you're used to Western acne product being matte, or even semi matte, this will not be that. It is in a sense much less dewy than most cushions out in the market but it's not at all matte in the conventional sense. If you're oily, as I suspect most everyone with acne issues are, you will need to powder. I'm oily as oily can get and the only way i could make this work for me was to prep with a matte primer, then finishing with powder and a setting spray. Otherwise this will just slouch off my skin as soon as the oil begins to set in.
ACNE: I tend to reach for this when my skin flare up but still need to look presentable for work and events. I can't swear if it makes my acne any better but I know for sure it does not irritate my skin or makes it worse. Most of the time I just forget that I'm even wearing it because it's light on the skin and gentle to my acne.
CONCEALER: It does what concealers are meant to do. It covers my dark circle pretty well, same with pigmentation spots. This reminds me of the Nars creamy concealer and the Saem one too. It is a lot more creamy and liquidy than the Nars one but if you've used the Saem one before, you'll like this one. It's not the best concealer out there but it works well enough that I reach for it again. A little does go a long way so don't go overboard if you're using this for the first time.
One star off because I wish it was a little more matte for us oily ance prone gal.
