I rated this 4 stars for the fact that it is what it claims, a lip essence. I live in a very dry climate and need a lip balm to deeply hydrate my lips. It usually takes about 2 or 3 weeks for my lips to acclimate to the balm for it to truly work as intended. But then, I'll need to switch it out after another 2 or 3 weeks because the efficacy of the product isn't strong enough to last or moisturize my lips. However, I can see myself enjoying this if I didn't live where I live. It does a good job coating your lips and making it look smooth. I would repurchase if I move somewhere else.
